“You are very suspicious Mr Bond”
We have recently acquired a first edition first impression 1977 by Christopher Wood, with original dust jacket, unclipped. Light shelf wear and small closed tear to top left of jacket. Light spotting to jacket. Light toning to jacket extremities, mostly to flyleaf. Pages are foxed to the edges but otherwise clean and bright. No inscriptions. Overall very good+ condition. 222 pp. When Ian Fleming sold the film rights to the James Bond novels to Harry Saltzman and Albert R. Broccoli, he only gave permission for the title The Spy Who Loved Me to be used. Since the screenplay for the film had nothing to do with Fleming’s original novel, Eon Productions, for the first time, authorised that a novelization be written based upon the script. Christopher Wood was one of the screenwriters.
