Volume I of III. Hardback original full calf leather binding. Five raised bands to spine with burgundy gilt tooled title band. Moderate rubbing to cover and spine, corners and spine edges bumped. Small loss to lower spine edge. Some cracking to hinge. Cracking to gutter. Missing ffep. Pages are toned and a little soiled with occasional light spotting, however they are still relatively clean and in tact. Overall very good condition. xxxv + iii + 273 + iii pp. Zoroaster was an ancient Iranian spiritual leader who founded what is now known as Zoroastrianism. Described in the book as King of the Bactrians, the historical Iranian region in Central Asia, this volume follows his travels through the Middle East and parts of modern day Europe. A good copy of an extremely scarce book.
